The Rosy Barb is an active fish with a peaceful temperament and bright metallic colouration.

Special Requirements - Should be kept in a shoal of 6 or more. If kept in small numbers, their fin nipping behaviour can become evident.
Tanks Mates and Compatibility – They are generally a community fish, especially if kept in a shoal. Avoid long finned tank mates as they may be tempted to nip! Fish including Swordtails, Gouramis, Angels, Knifefish, Ropefish, Paradise fish, Danios, Tetras, many American Cichlids and other Barbs make suitable tankmates.
Ideal Number to Keep – This fish enjoys company and if it’s in a school of 6 or so, it won’t usually bother its tank mates.
Feeding – They are an omnivores and should be fed a good quality varied died that includes crushed flake and live or frozen food as well as vegetable matter.
