This loach is an excellent choice for the community aquarium. It doesn't grow too large, is full of character and, unlike most loaches, it is not aggressive. It is also unusual in the fact that it will spend much of it's time in mid water rather than on the bottom.
If you couple this all together with its stunning pattern and colour, there is nothing to dislike about this friendly shoaling loach.

Special Requirements - They prefer a tank with good water flow.
Tanks Mates and Compatibility – This is a small fun and peaceful loach that likes to shoal. It is rarely agressive to other tank mates and so can be housed in most community tanks.
Feeding – This loach is an omnivore and will accept most varied diets. It also is partial to the odd baby snail!
