Black Nasty (Haitian) Cichlid  – Nandopsis haitiensis     

Species only – Large and can be very aggressive.

(These are young fish and are around 4cm)

The Black Nasty cichlid is large and very beautiful. Unfortunately the ‘Nasty’ part of its name is true, unfortunately, and, although many specimens will live with other large cichlids or catfish, some will be so aggressive that it will be reluctant to share its space at all. They need plenty to room (400 litre+)

Adult Length:  35cm

Temperature Range 23-28°C

pH Range:6.0-7.5

Special Requirements:  

Tanks Mates: An extremely aggressive cichlid that should only be housed with other, equally aggressive large tank mates. They need plenty of space.

Feeding: . A true omnivore that will eat pretty much anything and everything that it is offered.
